Thanks to the support of countless volunteers, the Valley of the Sun United Way’s World Record to End Hunger event on Oct. 25 was a smashing success!

In three minutes, volunteers packed 1,993 bags to benefit local children in need, beating the previous record of 1,000 bags.

Check out this azcentral story at for more details about the event and how you can continue to make a difference.

We thank you for joining Rio Salado, the Maricopa Community Colleges and Valley of the Sun United Way in this year's effort to help end hunger in Maricopa County.
