Take advantage of the latest in-person workshops at the East Valley Veterans Center.

Here's a look at what you can expect this month-- including an employment skills and financial literacy workshop this Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Designed with Veterans in Mind! The EVVEC offers free services to veterans and their family members, including educational and career outreach, academic advisement, community referrals and in-person workshops and classes. Where: EVVEC, 3320 S. Price Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282. When: Employable Skills & Readiness Workshop Wed., Nov 12, 1-4 p.m.; Financial Literacy Workshop Thu., Nov 12, 1-3 p.m.; VA Presentation Tue., Nov. 18, 1-3 p.m. Workshop Descriptions: Employable Skills and Readiness Workshop Nov. 12 Presented by Maricopa Workforce Connection advocates who will help you with resume writing, interviewing and networking skills. Financial Literacy Workshop, Nov. 12 Presented by Five Rings Financial, which will help you explore the foundations of financial management. This hands-on workshop will focus on setting financial goals, managing credit and debt, protecting against identify theft, saving, investing and risk management. VA OEF/OIF/OND Veteran Informational Presentation, Nov. 18 Presented by VA patient advocates who will provide information on topics about VA benefits, vocational rehabilitation, disability claims and more. You will also have an opportunity to register with the VA Medical Center and set appointments with VA counselors for one-on-one consultations.
