Chancellor Reflects on Our Community Colleges

This azcentral story features reflections about the evolution and possible future of Maricopa Community Colleges from outgoing Chancellor Rufus Glasper as he prepares to wrap up a 30-year career with the District.

The economic and financial benefits are critically important to Arizona taxpayers.  But the value of Maricopa County Community College District is more important today and for our state’s future than ever before. Employers across the nation and here in Maricopa County aggressively seek skilled workers, and Maricopa Community Colleges play an outsized role in educating, training and preparing the talent that they need.
