There’s no shortage of new and alternative methods to approach studying.

If this isn’t your first time around the block and you are looking for ways to improve your study habits, this YouTube video by Thomas Frank is full of innovative and thought-provoking studying techniques to consider trying.

Frank talks about a free software program called Anki, which allows students to learn and commit information to memory more effectively than reviewing flashcards over and over. The technique Anki uses is called space repetition, which displays concepts you’re not likely to have mastered more frequently than concepts you’re already familiar with.

Everybody has different study methods that work best for them, so space repetition may not work for you but it can be helpful to try something new, compare it with what you’re already doing and see what gets the best results for you.

Happy studying!
