This brings the current total number of SARA states to 47 as well as the District of Columbia. The National Council for SARA defines SARA as, "a voluntary agreement among its member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of post-secondary distance-education."
SARA makes it easy for students to take online college courses in another state and also helps with improving consumer protection.
Rio Salado is proud to be a SARA participating institution.
