Today is International Day Against Contract Cheating! We’re calling on #RioWaves to show their support for academic integrity and ethics in their studies-- and to take a stand against cheating by sharing a selfie with a statement that completes this sentence:
“I don’t contract cheat because ___________.”

Most of us are familiar with cheat sheets and copying homework, but there’s a new kind of cheating called Contract Cheating.
Examples of contract cheating include:
Contract Cheating is a “form of academic dishonesty where students get academic work completed on their behalf, which they then submit for academic credit [and/or advantage] as if they created it themselves,” according to www.contractcheating.com.
Examples of contract cheating include:
- Purchasing an assignment from an online site
- Sharing answers to an assignment on a file sharing site
- Posting or purchasing answers to an exam, assignment, or other assessed work
- Paying someone to write a test or exam
