Recognizing Arizona Adult Literacy Week!

Image of Governor's Procolomation

This week marks the 16th annual Arizona Adult Literacy Week (AALW), a community effort to increase awareness of the importance of adult literacy and higher learning.

We are proud to join the Arizona Department of Education and Governor Doug Ducey in championing this effort.

Arizona Adult Literacy Week celebrates the hard work and accomplishments of adult education programs, instructors, volunteers, community organizations and students who have decided to go back to school.

This inspiring video will provide a glimpse into the life of Kathleen Hall, one of many adult students who has overcome obstacles to pursue a college education-- and found help and guidance through Rio Salado's Adults Achieving a College Education (AACE) program.

Ready to go back to school? We’re ready for you! Rio Salado’s adult re-entry programs are designed to help students prepare for their GED® tests, learn the English language and transition seamlessly to college. Get started on your educational journey now: www.riosalado.edu/programs/abe.

Rio Salado College serves as the principal provider of GED® test preparation programs for the Maricopa Community Colleges and the largest provider of adult basic education in the state of Arizona.
