The month of February is Black History Month, or National African American History Month. It is an annual celebration of achievements of black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history.

This year's theme for Black History Month is African Americans and the Vote.

The Rio Salado Library is proud to celebrate the rich culture, diversity, and contributions of the African American community. The Black History Month Topic Guide highlights events and resources that can help you learn more about the lives, contributions, and legacies of African Americans.
